About Sysnet

SySNet Information Systems is basically my server playground and information dump site. I am Brian Bothwell, a.k.a. sysrage and I have been interested in computers and system administration for most of my life. On these web pages, you will find a collection of information on various subjects that I am interested in. I spend a great deal of my time teaching myself new technologies and trying to keep up with the rapid development of such technologies. Over time I have come across information that took a large effort to obtain and I want to be able to make such information easier for others to find.
 
Everytime I go through the process of installing something, there seems to be one or two things that the documentation just doesn't seem to cover. As I setup my network and make improvements, I will document all these tidbits of knowledge and hopefully somebody out there will be able to avoid some of the same frustration I went through.
 
The services I provide to members are not under any guarantee whatsoever. I provide them because I have the resources available and they shouldn't go to waste. If members do have problems I will try to help them out, but don't expect anything. Memberships are not publicly available. If you ask me for an account I may give you one, but to be honest I most likely will not.
 
Any sites or organizations that are advertised on these web pages are supported by SySNet and advertisements are shown free of cost. If I use a particular piece of software or online service while working on my server and feel it is of high enough quality to recommend to others, I will advertise it on these pages. If you find such software or services, recommend them to me and I will take a look when I have the time.
